Passion, persistence, and relentless determination to plant the tallest vineyard in the world led entrepreneur, Donald Hess, to the Salta region of Argentina, where he planted Malbec on a farm he called Altura Máxima.

The true expression of terroir in this malbec comes from the extreme altitude at which the vineyard sites, it receives much more sun, much less UV protection, producing thicker skinned grapes that deliver a more robust mouthfeel supported by fresh acidity.

As you can imagine, production of this exclusive extreme altitude malbec is extremely limited… Less than 30 barrels were ever made.
