Las Notas de Jean Claude

Crafted in collaboration with the legendary Jean-Claude Berrouet—celebrated for his four decades at Château Pétrus—Las Notas de Jean Claude is a masterful expression of precision winemaking at high altitude. From the San Pablo Estate in Mendoza’s Uco Valley, at 4,430 feet above sea level, this wine captures the tension between mountain freshness and Bordeaux-inspired finesse.

A blend of Merlot (69%), Cabernet Franc (22%), Cabernet Sauvignon (8%), and Petit Verdot (1%), it reflects both meticulous vineyard work and Berrouet’s signature restraint. Cold nights and stony soils yield fruit of remarkable concentration and aromatic depth—ideal for wines built to evolve gracefully over time.

Tasting Notes:
Elegant and expressive, with aromas of red berries, cassis, and truffle, lifted by subtle hints of spice. Aging for 11 months in new French oak adds gentle layers of roasted coffee and dark chocolate, beautifully integrated with the fruit. The palate is silky yet powerful, defined by sweet, polished tannins and a long, memorable finish.

Food Pairing:
Perfect alongside grilled meats—especially beef or lamb—but equally graceful with roasted vegetables or aged cheeses.
