Tesoro continues an important legacy for owner and winemaker Michael Muscardini, whose grandfather made wine in Italy before emigrating to America in 1909. Fifteen years ago, Michael Muscardini first blended sangiovese, syrah, and cabernet grapes to create his signature Super Tuscan style Tesoro (“treasure” in Italian), an homage to his grandfather and his Italian heritage.

Michael calls his method “new world thinking with old world drinking” and it works wonders in this 2019, a Gold winner in the San Francisco Chronicle’s wine competition. Notes of roast walnut, tobacco, clove and berries in the nose; with blackberry, plum and dark chocolate on the palate. Drink 2022-2030.
