Lamadrid Gran Reserva Malbec 2021

Gran Reserva Malbec from nearly century-old vines planted in 1929. Winemaker Angelina Yañez crafts this 100% Malbec from Vineyard Matilde in Agrelo, using traditional flood irrigation and sandy-loam soils with roots reaching over 90 feet deep. Only three vines produce one bottle, yielding exceptional concentration. Hand-harvested in April, naturally fermented in concrete eggs, and aged 18 months in French oak (60% new). Unfiltered and unclarified, it’s a pure, powerful expression of Agrelo’s old vines.
