Château Cailleteau Bergeron has been a family estate since 1933; the current winemakers, siblings Marie-Pierre and Pierre-Charles Dartier, took over the winery from their parents in 1992. They are focused on coaxing rich, lavish wines from 60+ year old vines and a rather austere stony soil over clay and limestone. HVE 3 (High Environmental Value) and Terra Vitis certified.
Notes of dark spices on the nose, with tobacco, licorice, and blueberries. Rich tannins; dense, powerful, and full-bodied.
