Côte des Bar is unlike any other area in Champagne. Densely wooded, with a “kimmeridgian soil” of clay, marl, and fossilized oysters, champagnes from here develop rare notes of apricot, pineapple and papaya. The Moutard family (winemakers since 1642) used their expert to cut the tropical with a bit of lemon, along with the smoothest bubbles you’ve ever had in a Champagne. Sip it from a regular wine glass for full effect.
