At 6,800 feet above sea level in Argentina’s rugged Quebrada de San Lucas, Finca El Monte 2020 was born from extreme altitude, limestone soils, and relentless sun. This is not everyday Malbec. It is a precision-crafted, limited-production wine made for those who seek something rare and uncompromising.
Winemaker Matías Etchart carved this vineyard from unforgiving terrain in the Valles Calchaquíes of Salta — one of the highest quality winegrowing regions in the world. The altitude intensifies everything: thicker skins, deeper color, concentrated dark fruit, and natural structure balanced by remarkable freshness.
Fermented in new French oak and aged 15 months in 500-liter barrels, this 100% Malbec offers layered notes of blackberry, plum, graphite, and spice with firm yet polished tannins and a long, mineral-driven finish.
