Winemaker Agustín Lanús studied winemaking all over the world before returning to his native Argentina to conquer the vast desert valley of the Calchaquí. Grapes sourced from four small extreme altitude vineyards, located in three provinces that make up the Calchaquí Valley: Salta, Tucumán, and Catamarca provinces. The vineyards are located between 7,200 and 8,900 feet, making them among the highest in the world; at the very limits of where grapes can survive. The length of time required for grapes to mature at such extreme altitudes results in thick skins and very low yields, creating incredibly complex and full-bodied wines.
