This is not a wine for everyone.

Tacana comes from a forgotten valley, 8,950 feet up in the Argentine Andes — where the air is thin, the soil is poor, and every bottle feels like a small miracle.
There is no paved road to Gualfín. No comfort in the process. Just a few families, clinging to the land, raising cattle, tending vines, and holding onto a way of life that most of the world has long since left behind.
And in 2023, the mountain almost said no.
First came a late frost, just as the vines were beginning to flower. Nearly half the young fruit froze and fell. Then the drought — even the glacial streams that feed this desert valley dried to a trickle. And finally, a heatwave blistered the high slopes, shrinking what little fruit remained.
Only the most resilient grapes survived.
And in wine — that means intensity.
The 2023 Tacana is the most concentrated vintage we’ve ever made. The smallest, too.
Only 2,800 bottles of our classic Tacana Malbec… and 2,800 bottles of the Reserva. That’s it. No more coming. No second run. No mass production.
The mountain gave us this, and no more.
But what it gave us — is something remarkable.

I’ve walked that vineyard in bare silence. I’ve watched the wind whip dust off the ridges and seen the vines hang on, clawing at rock. And somehow, what they give back… is elegance.
