After a disastrous 2014 season (too rainy, too cold), the excellent 2013 vintage of Brunello di Montalcino has become exceedingly hard to find. An opulent wine that could only be made under the Tuscan sun, with ripe sour cherry (typical of Sangiovese) that melts away to reveal mineral and earth tones like charred wood.
