Fifteen years ago, the Bonner family took over a forgotten vineyard high in the mountains of Angastaco, Salta — a remote, rocky stretch of the Calchaquí Valley where few dare to plant.
For years, they sent the fruit to a respected regional winery under NDA. But this year, they held back just 10 tons (~4,000 bottles) — and finally made their own white.
The result is the 2024 Tacana Torrontés: a dry, floral, and intensely fresh mountain white, grown over 6,000 feet above sea level. Expect aromas of white flowers and citrus peel, balanced by herbs and crisp minerality — a style that’s both vibrant and elegant, with zero sweetness and beautiful altitude-driven lift.
This is the first-ever white wine from the Bonner family vineyard — and one that almost didn’t happen. Limited production, no retail. Just a handful of bottles for those who get in early.
Perfect as an aperitif, or paired with almonds, seafood, or spicy dishes.
