Created by 4th-generation Argentine winemaker Laura Catena, this exclusive, magnum-only release represents the combined legacy of her family and her husband’s lineage, symbolized by the family crest on the label.

Sourced from some of Mendoza’s most prized high-altitude vineyards in Gualtallary and Paraje Altamira (3,600 feet above sea level), this 100% Malbec captures the intensity, structure, and freshness that only extreme elevation can provide. Luca wines are known for their small-production, artisan philosophy—working closely with top growers to produce fruit from old-vine, low-yield vineyards with meticulous vineyard management and an uncompromising focus on quality.

The 2016 vintage is aged with precision: 80% in oak barrels (40% new) for 12 months to build depth and structure, while 20% is aged in stainless steel to preserve purity and lift. The result is a beautifully balanced wine that delivers both power and finesse.

On the nose, expect expressive aromas of dark licorice, violet, and blueberry. The palate is full-bodied, with excellent tannin structure and a refined texture, lifted by vibrant acidity and vivid blue fruit flavors that carry through a long, polished finish.
