More Information

Sierra Lima Alfa is the personal project of Francisco “Pancho” Morelli Rubio, part of the sixth generation of winemakers in the family behind Tacuil, the famous Molinos winery helmed by his cousin (and longtime Partnership collaborator) Raúl Dávalos.

Pancho had been working in the family business for more than ten years when, in 2014, he decided to create Sierra Lima Alfa, with the intention to offer a deeply personal interpretation of the wines of the Calchaquí Valleys. Of this 2020 malbec blend, 65% comes from Molinos, at 8,530 feet of elevation, and 35% comes from Angastaco, at 7,875 feet. Each year the proportions change based on the quality of the harvest. 93 points (Atkin). 94 points (Descorchados). Drink now or cellar up to 2029.
