From the ancient cataclysmic floods that created the legendary Laurelwood terroir… to the arrival of Ruby Vineyard owner Steve Hendricks’ great-great-grandfather on the Oregon trail 14,820 years later. Steve and winemaker Andrew Kirkland made just 900 cases of this “pepper and dust” pinot. Note how a touch of mixed berry coulis on the palate cools down that initial spice (a product of the dry farming?). 90 points from Wine Spectator.
