Frequently Asked Questions

Behind every bottle is a journey. Here’s where we answer the practical side of it.

You can join directly through our website. Just choose the subscription that fits your interests — from our Argentine collections to the global Partnership subscription — and your first shipment will be prepared right away.

Not directly, but you can always reach out before a shipment goes out if there’s something you’d like to request or avoid. We’ll do our best to accommodate.

It depends on your club. Some ship monthly, others every two months, and a few quarterly. You’ll always receive an email before each renewal.

The Extreme Altitude subscription focuses on extreme altitude wines from Argentina. They are primarily malbec but you could receive a wine of a different varietal occasionally in your order. We have both a 4 bottle and a 6 bottle option, and you would have a renewal order every 2 months.

The Partnership subscription focuses on a different region of the world every 3 months and we do not know which region the next renewal will be until 1-2 months prior to the renewal date. We have both a 6 bottle and a 12 bottle option.

Yes, you can skip a renewal order.. You can do this after logging on to the website under “My Subscriptions.” There is an option to “Skip Shipment.” If you would prefer, you can contact Amelia, our Customer Service Manager, at contact@bonnerprivatewines.com or at 844-733-5249 and she can take care of it for you.

You can update your payment details from your Member Area, or write to us if you’d prefer we handle it. If it’s easier, we can even schedule a call.

You’ll receive an automated email letting you know. Because it is automated, please check your spam folder.  Once your information is updated, please let us know and we’ll reprocess your order without delay.

We now have all of our booklets available digitally on the website under our blog and under booklets category.

Yes. Most of our wines come from small family estates and aren’t distributed in U.S. retail stores. Membership is the only way to access them.

Absolutely. You can always visit our online store to reorder your favorites. If a particular wine is sold out, we’ll recommend something similar.

Keep them in a cool, dark place, ideally between 55°F and 65°F, and away from direct sunlight.

We’re not strict about this. We usually enjoy our wines a little colder than “official” recommendations , they warm up naturally as you drink them.
Start slightly cool, and you’ll find the temperature that feels just right along the way.

We do not have any wines that are specifically vegan and we cannot guarantee it because some wines are filtered with egg yolks.

All wines naturally contain small amounts of sulfites from fermentation, but none are added to ours. We confirm this directly with our winemakers and trust their good faith. Because we work with small, independent producers, their focus is always on quality, not quantity.

Every country has its own requirements for obtaining an organic label. While our wines do not carry an official organic certification we consider for example our Argentine wines to be organic in practice, no pesticides are used. At the high altitudes where our grapes grow, pests simply can’t survive, so chemical treatments aren’t necessary.

We also work with winemakers who follow sustainable and biodynamic practices. However, because we don’t require formal certifications, we can’t display any labels. Rest assured, all of our wines come from producers who uphold the highest standards of quality and respect for the land.

We currently ship to most U.S. states  except: Arkansas, Delaware, Mississippi, and Utah.
If you live in one of these states, you’ll need to select an alternate delivery destination.

We can ship wines to Hawaii and Alaska with an additional shipping fee of $16.99 because we have to ship the wines by plane.

No, Bonner Private Wines does not currently ship wines to Canada. At this time, we only ship within the United States to states where direct-to-consumer wine shipping is permitted. We hope to expand our shipping options in the future, so please check back for updates or subscribe to our newsletter for the latest announcements.

We currently work only with UPS.

Unfortunately, no. We can’t deliver wine to P.O. boxes. An adult signature is required for all alcohol deliveries.

You can request it, but we can’t guarantee exact timing due to carrier schedules.

At Bonner Private Wines, we ship all orders Monday through Wednesday to protect your wine’s quality during transit. Because we can’t control where wine is stored over the weekend, we avoid shipping on Thursdays or Fridays ensuring your bottles never sit in a hot warehouse or delivery truck.

  • Ground Shipping: Most customers receive their order within 7–10 business days after it ships.

  • 2-Day Shipping: You should receive your order within 2 business days after it ships.

If your order is placed after 11 a.m. PST on Wednesday, it will ship the following Monday, no matter which shipping method you select.

We take great care to store, handle, and ship your wines under ideal conditions so they arrive just as the winemaker intended — ready to enjoy.

UPS will attempt delivery three times. You can also request that they hold your package at a local UPS store for pickup.

Contact us right away at contact@bonnerprivatewines.com. We’ll make it right.

We monitor national temperatures closely. If it’s too hot to ship safely, we’ll hold your order in our temperature-controlled warehouse until it cools down.
We can also upgrade to 2-day air shipping with an ice pack for $19.99 upon request.

Shipping wine is expensive and delicate. To keep prices fair and ensure your bottles travel safely, our policy is to ship a minimum of three bottles per order.

Your card will be charged automatically a few days before your shipment goes out, and you’ll be notified by email.

If there’s ever a problem with your order, we’ll replace or refund it, no questions asked.
We can issue store credit or include replacement bottles with your next shipment if you prefer.

Wines, sadly, aren’t like power tools. A hardware store can resell a hammer you used twice — not so for a bottle of wine. Once you pop the cork, it’s a total loss to us.
That’s why we can’t offer full refunds on opened bottles.
But if a wine arrives damaged, corked, or spoiled, just get in touch. We’ll do what we can to make it right. Your satisfaction means everything to us.

Bonner Private Wines is a community of wine lovers and small, independent producers dedicated to authentic, high-altitude wines—bottles that are rarely imported and almost impossible to find elsewhere.
From the rugged peaks of Argentina to the hidden hills of Spain and France, we work directly with family wineries that farm their own vines and craft wines by hand.

It’s a farm-to-table approach to wine, where every bottle tells the story of the land, the people, and the altitude behind it.
