Bonner Private Wine Partnership presents

A Little Summer Perspective

After a busy first half of the year, we took a moment to put our cellar back in order. Six reds stood out — and one bright, high-altitude white.

Chilled Tacana Torrontés and two glasses on a poolside table in the summer sun The Summer White · Tacana Torrontés 2024

Dear Reader,

One of our summer jobs is counting bottles.

It involves fewer power tools than most summer projects, but considerably more spreadsheets.

We go through the warehouse, compare what is actually there with what the numbers say should be there, and put everything back in its proper place.

Most of it is routine.

Then we find something.

A few cases from a collection we loved. A bottle that disappeared from view as newer wines arrived. Small quantities that are not enough for another large offer, but are far too good to leave sitting in storage.

This is where organizing wine is better than organizing almost anything else.

A shirt forgotten at the back of a closet probably has not improved since 2018. A bottle might have.

Not every wine is built to age, of course. But these are the small-production, honest wines the Partnership was created to find, and we were happy to rediscover them after a little more time in bottle.

By the time we finished counting, our summer job had uncovered a few opportunities.

For the Summer Cellar Clearance, you will receive 15% off any six bottles or 25% off any twelve. Choose one of each, double up on a favorite, or mix the case however you like. There is even a crisp, high-altitude Torrontés ready for the hottest days ahead.

Some wines are available in only a few cases. When they are gone, they are gone.

Our first summer jobs gave us enough money to go out and see our friends. Perhaps this one will give you a reason to invite them over.

Putting the cellar in order also brought a few surprises into view — small quantities and wines from earlier Partnership collections that no longer fit neatly into a lineup.
